CURRICULUM

The middle school curriculum builds on the skills acquired by the students in the primary classes through experiential learning using teaching methodology that encourage conceptual clarity, creating individuals competent enough to make informed choices. The aim is to give students a deeper learning experience by identifying and supporting each student’s potential and recognizing his/her strengths.

The focus is on an integrated approach towards learning and understanding connections across disciplines. Assessments are designed and conducted for feedback and support aiming at developing reflective learners and teachers.

Smart Classes education contribute in carrying experiential learning forward where students learn to logically reason, think and apply their knowledge to practical use.

ACADEMIC INSTRUCTIONS

For Classes VI-VIII

1. The assessment of the students will be based on the scheme of examination as prescribed by the CBSE.
2. The students will be awarded marks for their scholastic subjects and co-scholastic subjects will be assessed based on a five-point grading scale (A,B,C, D & E).
3. The students will be assessed regularly through Periodic Tests, Mid Term Examination and Final Examination. The End Term for grade 10 will be conducted by CBSE whereas for Classes VI- IX examination will be conducted by the school, as per CBSE guidelines.
4. The schedule of Paper-Pen Tests, Half Yearly Exams and Final Exams will be shared with the students in advance.
